The launch of Soto 40 #23, ‘Papillon’ was a wonderful occasion attended by all the owner’s friends and family as well as the commissioning team that was there for this auspicious event, the arrival of the first of many new Asian Soto 40s. Owner, Mr. Tony Fushimi received the blessing from the Buddhist Priest and the Australian/Asian Agent, Tim Long, had a part in the ceremony as well along with Javier Mendez from M Boats. The day was followed by a lavish lunch with Tony’s guests, crew and friends before we set off for the yacht’s first sail. 12 - 14 knots of wind. A great start to a long association with the Soto 40 and Asia. Good luck and best wishes to Tony Fushimi, ‘Papillon’ and the rest of the crew. Particular thanks to Taro, ‘Nutso’, Marcello, Trent, Chris, Edmund and the rest of the commissioning team for making the time at Seabornia Marina such a wonderful time.
