Waiting game now for All4One
All4One skipper Jochen Schűmann on losing to TEAMORIGIN in the first elimination round: "We probably lost it in the pre-start - we should have taken a little bit more risks. We messed up the very first gybe - later we actually had quite good gybes and they had the problem with their very last one. I think the crew work was quite good; it was not a matter of a crew work, I would say it was more a matter of boat speed. They had probably a little bit more muscles on right tacking and a little faster straight. I think that was the main difference. It was an early gain, and then they controlled the race. I think the middle group we might meet each other again in the next round. Now we hope the winners make it through."

Artemis happy to live another day
Terry Hutchinson, helmsman on Artemis, on beating Azzurra in the first race of the elimination round, to live another day in the regatta: “I think everybody is very happy. I think we all felt a little bit letdown by our results in the roundrobin. We had two races that we lost on mental mistakes – one with me getting the penalty in the pre-start, the other putting the pole over the bow. I think we are sailing really well together, and we are slowly getting better. But it’s a long regatta, and we gotta keep plugging along.”
