King Composite’s New Autoclave in Valencia.
King Composite has closed the contract with Industrial Olmar SA for the supply of a new autoclave to be installed at our new plant in Valencia.- http://www.olmar.com/
The 43m long autoclave shall be built by the Spanish constructor Industrial Olmar SA. This company, based in Gijón, is one of the major European autoclave builders. They have extensive experience in autoclaves for the composite industry in the aerospace sector, supplying for several Airbus subcontractors, and leading companies like Hexcel or Aernova (Mexico). Olmar has recently dispatched one of the largest autoclaves for the composite industry in Europe, the 6,5m diameter and 23m long autoclave has an impressive 760 cubic meters of useful volume.
This new commission shall be the longest autoclave to have been built by the company.
The new autoclave will be operational by the beginning of 2010. This will allow King Composite to supply the projects for the summer season of 2010 in Europe directly from the new facility.
This new geographical position will allow us to reduce the delivery time by one month, and will eliminate the uncertainty of the sea freight from the delivery operation.
It shall also allow a much easier access for the Project Managers, and the boat owners to visit the plant and follow the construction of their masts much closer.
The full capacity plant in Valencia will also greatly improve the service capacity greatly, having a large work force right on the Mediterranean.
