Hugo Boss con serios problemas estructurales vuelve a puerto

Alex Thompson informó a la organización que su Open 60 Hugo Boss estaba haciendo agua por el casco pero que la situación estaba controlada por el momento mediante las bombas de evacuación. La via de agua se produjo por el casco de babor, el lado opuesto al de la reparación. A las 2000hrs GMT se encontraba a 46°07’48N y 08°18’46W, aproximadamente 290 millas de Port Olona y había reducido la velocidad a 7 nudos.
