The Italian cities of Venice and Naples, hosts next year to events of the America’s Cup World Series, are joining forces to field an entry for the 34th America’s Cup said Paul Graziano, president of the Industrial Neapolitan and also the head of the special purpose entity created between the region, city and state of Naples and Neapolitan entrepreneurs.
“We are working to put on the team and sponsors, also because the boat could possibly reach the summit. There is a partnership with Venice and work hard,” said Graziano.
That there is a boat and maybe Neapolitan Italian is also the wish of Worth: "If we're lucky there will be a crew also Italian. We also hope to be a Neapolitan boat as Italy, with her four events, is now the second house from America's Cup after the United States,” Worth said. And the president of the Province of Naples, Luigi Cesaro, said: “If we succeed, the boat name is chosen by the Neapolitans. The city and the province are involved in the event, because the America's Cup should be all.”
